STAR to have new moderator every other month

STAR Blogs has decided to have a moderator for its chatroom that will be changed every 2 months. This is to have fair moderation and avoid abuse of powers of being a moderator. The moderator for the month of August is Rhue05.. The next moderator will be elected via online poll and will have a 2-month term.

Lagpas: Ikaw, Ano’ng Trip Mo?” is another indie film directed by Hedji Calagui.

Starring in the movie are Dennis Torres, Kim Allen, Miko Laurel, Dustin Jose, Rob Da Silva, Joemhel Montero, Lawrence Manalo, Jersey Manalo and Bryan Alarva. Also starring are Jessica Arsolon, Amy Turno, and Lito Luna.

PLOT: On the day of Roy’s Birthday, an unexpected event happens in the lives of the people in his house. Known to Diego, a hunk gay waiter, Roy, a student, is the only key to the truths surrounding the lies and deceits in the house. Drugs and hidden motives involving Diego and Sandro, a student, will be revealed which eventually lead to the death of the latter. Upon knowing that Diego’s life is in danger, Orlando, a band member in love with Diego, postpones his intentions of taking his life in order to help the one he loves. Orlando saves Diego from certain death, but sadly, all is too late. Orlando is weakening and is dying of AIDS. Regardless of the time given to them, Diego and Orlando use the precious remaining time to show their love for each other.

"Pulupot" is a story of Eva (Justin Ferrer of GMA7's Survivor Philippines), a hardworking transsexual entrepreneur who waits for the love of her life, Edgardo (Gio Gapas) with complicated relationships with a possessive gay man Kiko (Justin De Leon of Ang Lalaki Sa Parola), a pragmatic sex worker (Echo Caceres of Survivor Philippines) and his OFW girl friend (Joyce Acorda).
This story an upbeat testament to the simple truth that love is a choice. And sometimes the most incovenieant choice is the key to one's happiness. "Pulupot is the gay truth about life."

Prayers For Bobby

Prayers for Bobby is a 2009 television film that premiered on the Lifetime network on January 24, 2009. It is based on the book, Prayers for Bobby: A Mother's Coming to Terms with the Suicide of Her Gay Son, by Leroy F. Aarons, which is itself based on the true story of the life and legacy of Bobby Griffith, a young gay man who killed himself due to his mother's and community's religious intolerance. The film stars Ryan Kelley as Bobby Griffith and Sigourney Weaver as his mother, Mary.
Prayers for Bobby is produced by Once Upon A Times Films, Ltd in association with Permut Presentations and Sladek Taaffe Productions. Executive Producers are Daniel Sladek, Chris Taaffe, David Permut and Stanley M. Brooks.
